BE ENCOURAGED! – AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR SUPPORTERS AND ALL THOSE WHO LOVE FREEDOM

First, we want to thank all of you for the part you are playing in the fight for freedom . It is truly amazing. We are also humbled by the tremendous outpouring of support, encouragement, and prayers you have sent our way. Thank you.

Many of you have asked me and Viktoriya why we are the subject of such vicious personal attacks and intimidation on a regular basis. Many of you have questioned"how do you put up with the slander and gossip even though every single allegation against you and your wife has been conclusively disproven.” My answer is simple that is the price we pay to restore a God honoring Constitutional Republic. Our founding fathers endured nothing less so what makes us think we would escape the ridicule and intimidation of those who will do anything to gain and maintain power?

Therefore, be encouraged.

Believe me it is not easy. However, instead of saying"woe is us,” we take such attacks as a great compliment and so should you. These attacks are aimed at all of us who love America and want to see her greatness restored. It means we are a threat to those driven by selfish-ambition and those who seek to destroy American and Washington State from within. Let them instead serve to embolden you in your own efforts to fight for limited government, lower taxes, and more freedom.

So when I am labeled an"extremist” or an"angry Iraq War Veteran” remember those comments are never about the issues but instead solely because of my principled conservative stand. This is nothing new. Indeed, people like Nelson Rockefeller calling Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan"extremist” along with other vicious personal attacks is what gave birth to Reagan’s famous 11th Commandment - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eleventh_Commandment_(Ro...eagan).

So if you find the time during your day, please pray for me and Viktoriya as we pray for you. Together, if we stand unwavering in defense of our Republic and our God given unalienable rights...if we are willing to pay the price...like our fathers and mothers before us, we will win.

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33 NIV

Sincerely,

Matt and Viktoriya Shea
