BE SELF-RELIANT: PREPARE YOURSELF - LEARN SELF-DEFENSE
Over the next few months I am going to be posting every Tuesday and Thursday, God willing, based on the 8 points of what we all should be doing. The first four I have talked about a lot in my posts and speeches already. So...Prepare Yourself...spiritually, mentally, and physically. The most overlooked for people is physical preparedness...so let's start there...with my suggestions.

2. SELF-DEFENSE
INSTEAD OF WATCHING AN HOUR OF T.V....

The quickest way to build confidence is by learning self-defense. This is true for all of us but especially our mothers, wives, and daughters. NO VICTIMS. There could be discussions for hours on which martial art is better but from my experience a mixture is best where there are quick transitions from defense to offense with natural movements. Some examples:

1. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
2. Russian Systema (The System)
3. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)
4. Krav Maga

To me Krav Maga is the most practical...However, find what suits you and a knowledgeable instructor you are comfortable with...

BUT DO SOMETHING!
