4. God-ordained marriage is the center of culture. To lose marriage is to lose the ability to practice the Faith. Marriage between one man and one woman is the center of things we call Christian. Before Christ's edict in Matthew 5, women suffered degradation and a lower status in the social order. It is only marriage between one man and one woman that preserves for women equality in the social order. Should we lose marriage as ordained by Christ, believers will suffer persecution at the hands of the state.
5. Worship God in spirit and in truth. John 4:23. The Father calls you to "present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service" and to "be not fashioned according to this world: be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God." What an honor it is to live in such a time as this. Indeed, it is in such times that we can return government to its proper role of protecting our God given unalienable rights to life, liberty, property, and the unfettered right to defend the same.

Let us all pray that our hearts, all of our hearts, would be changed, that we would be humbled, and that we would seek every moment to glorify Christ by helping those around us. Let us thank him for the countless blessings he has showered upon us and most importantly for sending us His Son.

With the extremely frustrating and deeply disappointing special session now finished here in Washington there was a push to support a tax increase. Deceptively named the "Mainstreet Fairness Act" it is really about raising taxes. SJM 8009 was passed supporting a liberal Democrat bill in the U.S. Congress (can you say John Conyers)...which would allow a mandatory tax on the internet (destination based sales tax). This affects many states throughout the country and is a huge move against the last bastion of the truly free market. Sen. Baxter Signs the ATR Taxpayer Protection Pledge!

Fellow Patriots,

As most of you know I have endorsed Sen. Baxter's campaign for Senate. I now want to personally congratulate and thank him for signing the Americans for Tax Reform "Taxpayer Protection Pledge." He is one of only 3 (out of 49) sitting Senators (including my longtime friend and hero Sen. Val Stevens) who had the courage to take the pledge to "oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes." Unfortunately, some are scurrilously trying to characterize Jeff's support of restructuring the transportation tax system as a tax increase. Nothing could be further from the truth. I along with many of you believe that the transportation tax system must be reformed just like the B&O tax system. The ATR website specifically states that such reform is not a tax increase here www.atr.org/userfiles/file/StatePledgeQ&A.pdf.
More specifically, it appears Sen. Baxter is being condemned for his support of my tax reform amendment H-Amd 455 to the House Transportation Budget which you can read here apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2011-12/Pdf/Ame...1.pdf. This is not a tax increase. To the contrary it provides no more than a 15% refund of fuel taxes to Indian Tribes as it was prior to 2007 (currently it is upward of 75%), and limits the use of those funds to highway purposes (according to 18th Amendment to the Washington State Constitution). Komo News exposed the lack of transparency regarding, and misuse of, tribal fuel tax money in their "What a Waste Series" here www.komonews.com/news/problemsolvers/121371074.htm...video This tax reform would redirect over $250 million dollars over 10 years to other road projects throughout the state like the North-South Freeway.
That is true tax reform and that is why I continue to wholeheartedly support Senator Jeff Baxter.
